Pet Loss Gathering

Because Your Grief is Real

You loved them deeply. And losing them hurts in ways that are hard to explain to people who haven’t experienced it.

You shouldn't have to grieve alone.

After a pet dies, the world often moves on faster than you do. People say things like "it was just a dog" or "at least they're not suffering." And you're left holding a grief that feels too big and too invisible at the same time.

What you need isn't to be fixed. You need to be witnessed. You need to be with people who understand — because they're living it too.

This is the gathering you've been looking for.

Once a month, a small group of people who have lost a pet come together virtually to share memories, understand their grief, and feel less alone.

It's not therapy. It's not clinical. It's warm, facilitated, and focused on one thing: helping you feel truly seen.

What happens in the gathering:

🐾 Share Memories — Say their name. Tell their story. Acknowledge what they meant to you.

🐾 Understand Your Grief — Explore what's normal, understand the real timeline, and gain tools for navigating what you're feeling.

🐾 Be in Community — Experience connection instead of isolation. Grief needs witnessing, not fixing. There's comfort in being with people who get it.

Your host…

Suzanne is a certified Grief Educator who has spent years focused on why people struggle to heal — and what actually helps. Her Conscious and Curious Grief Method is the foundation for all her work and how she survived the death of her 22 year old son in 2020.

Her TEDx talk "Grief is Hard — Let's Do Better" is changing how we understand and respond to grief. Her approach is simple: grief needs witnessing, not fixing. And connection is what actually helps.

What People Are Saying

  • "The space that Suzanne set for us in the Pet Loss Gathering felt so accepting, peaceful, and open. I own many fish, and I thought that I was pretty good with going through their short stages of life. Yet talking about it with Suzanne's guidance in the gathering's calm atmosphere, seemed to open up a lot of feelings I've been unconsciously holding back. I felt so much better and lighter after sitting with those feelings and releasing them after."

  • "Suzanne creates an incredibly safe, compassionate space for anyone navigating the loss of a beloved pet. Her warmth, empathy, and gentle guidance make it possible to acknowledge and honor a grief that is so often overlooked. This workshop isn't just about coping with loss. It's about feeling seen, understood, and supported by someone who truly gets it. Suzanne has a remarkable ability to help participants process their emotions with grace while reminding them that the love we share with our pets never disappears. If you're carrying the heartbreak of losing an animal companion, I can't recommend Suzanne's workshop enough. It's a beautiful, healing experience that will leave you feeling lighter, comforted, and less alone."

  • "After losing my beloved dog, Jack, Suzanne’s Pet Grief Support Gathering offered a comforting space filled with compassion, understanding, and connection. She creates an environment where it feels safe to share memories, honor the bond we had with our pets, and navigate the grief that follows their loss. I’m grateful for the support, kindness, and sense of community she provides during such a tender time."
